Good morning! We will check out of the hotel bright and early, and make our way down to St. Tropez. The drive is approximately 2 hours. An option of stopping in Ste.Maxime for a quick lunch is a possibility, or, just truck right through and reach St. Tropez by late morning. The city itself is quite small. The harbour was once filled with fishing boats and today is crowded with yachts ranging to the millions of dollars. It houses some of Frances most glamorous resorts, beautiful sandy beaches, chic cafes and buzzing night clubs. We will check into the Pan Dej Palais Hotel. (Once you look at this hotel, you will remember that this is my dream vacation. I plan on doing it only when I have the financial capability to do so...if that ever happens!) The main street is called Place De Lices, and the market days are: Tuesday and Saturday. Sites that we want to visit are: The 17th century citadel and La Maison des Papillons (The House of Butterflies). We will return to our hotel, freshen up and enjoy the luxurous amenities it has to offer. Tonight we dine at La Petite Auberge de Barbigoua, which is a french cuisine. Following dinner we will take a nice relaxing evening stroll through the old port, and see the hundreds of yachts parked in the harbour.
